Week One:  cast on stitches, begin rib

Week Two: work rounds of 15-row pattern

Week Three: continue working pattern rounds

Week Four: commence crown shaping

Week Five: weave in tails

Prerequisite: Some basic knitting skills, i.e. casting on, knitting, joining colours
